The annual UCLA Extension Writers Faire is Sunday, September 9^th from 11:00 am to 3:00 on the UCLA campus.  There are 24 mini-panels and lectures given by over 70 instructors who teach in the Writers’ Program.  If you live near L.A. and you’re thinking of taking a writing course, this is a great way to get acquainted with the instructors and the program. It’s friendly and it’s fun. And free!  If you come please stop by and introduce yourself. I’m chairing a panel on writing the personal essay at 11:00

October 12^th at 7:00 I’ll be at Dutton’s Books in Brentwood, (11975 San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049) giving a wine and cheese party and talking about my book, Courage & Craft. ( FYI: Serving wine at bookstore readings results in not only a larger audience, but a jollier one too.)
