I’m teaching two courses at UCLA  Extension this fall: six weeks of "Courage & Craft" and a one day workshop "Writing Your Own History", and then in February an intermediate non-fiction four day workshop for anyone who has a memoir or some personal essays in progress.  If you’re interested you can go to www.uclaextension.edu or give them a call at 310-825-9971
"Writing Your Own History" is still open and here’s the catalog description:

Writing Your Own History: A One-Day Workshop
Where did you come from, who was your family, and what was your journey? These are the questions addressed when we write family history, leaving a valuable gift for generations to come. The stories from your past, the history of other generations, the events you’ve witnessed, and the places where you’ve lived are the focus of this one-day workshop. With interview questions to open up the past with older generations in your family and exercises to spark your own memories, plus excerpts from published writers who have written autobiographies to inspire you, this workshop starts you on the path to writing your own history. Learn the tools to jump-start your writing and ways to organize the years of material you want to write about
