Nelson’s Memorial Day

IMG_0081

Okay, so maybe you didn’t wake up yesterday after the holiday wondering what Nelson had been up to, but I’ll tell you anyway cause I want to post this cute picture of R. at the lake with Nelson and also give a shout out to the wonderful rescue organization we got him from.

First of all there was a party at our cabin in Lake Arrowhead – 10 family members and friends, three children, and four dogs. Two of the dogs, Jake and Olive, were huge and looked like bears in our tiny living room, but Nelson remained calm and a good host inspite of the fact that Mr. Wrinkles the pug was also at the party. The following day Nelson went on a picnic  which became a bit of an adventure when a rattle snake appeared. He also went shopping in Cedar Glen, chased gophers, barked at about 73 dogs in Arrowhead Village to show who was boss, and slept a lot. R. and I keep saying how lucky we are to have this perfect dog.

We got him though my friend and student, Linzi Glass and her Forgotten Dog Foundation:  http://www.theforgottendog.org Or check them out on Facebook. Lots of adorable dogs up for adoption.

I love it that around L.A. these days people brag that their dog is a rescue.
