Home From India With Kindle

I got back from India yesterday morning and my head is still dingy from going through too many time zones. I took 403 photographs with my iPhone, wrote 26 pages in my journal and kept a small notebook on the run with urgent messages that may take me awhile to decipher:  "Rajeech's kids books!" "Temp: Arabian Sea?"  "Camels grin – or teeth?"  And I read seven books on my Kindle. My Kindle. I'm in love with it.  My brother and sister-in-law gave it to me for Christmas to use on this trip, and I thought, well, okay – maybe for trips. But it scared me, like shaking hands with the devil – the end of publishing, the end of real books. And of course it won't take the place of real books, physical books, but how convenient it is. Even today I had it in my purse and popped it out to read whenever I had some free moments. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with Kindles.

Dylan and Tanaya's wedding was all pure fairy tale and magic. More about that later.

Below is a picture taken by mistake of my Kindle at the beach in Goa.
