UCLA Writers’ Program Courses

Just do it

There are still a few places left in my fall course at UCLA Extension. "Courage & Craft" is for new writers not sure what genre to start with, or for those with an on-going project who are looking for a fresh approach to their work. The course begins October 19th and goes for six weeks, Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. If you're looking for a community of writers and a way to approach your own writing with purpose and seriousness, there's no better place to start than the Writers' Program at UCLA Extension. Someone at the Writers Faire last month asked our panel how do you find a mentor for your work? Everyone on the panel agreed, come to the Writers' Program.

In February (2/10-2/13) I'll be teaching "Writing the Personal Essay" at the Writers Studio for the Writers' Program. This is four days of boot camp – you'll have an essay to send out when it's over, plus lots of ideas for future essays. Sign-ups have just started and usually the Studio classes fill up fast.
