The mess in my office always feels like a metaphor. As I write my office gets more chaotic, then when I finish a draft I organize the mess and start all over again. Actually I’m still in the middle of two drafts, one for an essay and another for a novel, but my new blog is almost ready to be launched, and that’s what I’ve been working hardest on lately (and thank you Rob Daly for all the help!) It’s almost ready to launch via this blog, Facebook, Twitter, et al (all the Marketing Whore tools).

Great hilarity ensued when I told family members and close friends about the subject of my new blog. It’s something  I know nothing about. But I’m always saying you write the book you need to read, and this is true of blogs too. In another week or so I’ll post the link on WritingTime.

Meanwhile, let us know the state of your office/kitchen table/ or wherever you write. I read a NY Times piece recently about messy spaces making people more creative. I’m not sure this is true, but I do think being creative is a very messy process, inside and out.
