Thanks to everybody who came to Diesel Books in Brentwood last night. Especially to eight of my students who read their amazing work from Kicking in the Wall:  Tom Hartman, Kathy Katims, Cynthia Lim, Bob Goldman, Barbara Lodge, Erica Jamieson, Jeri Okamoto Floyd, and Ruth Rudnick.

Thanks also to Diane Leslie who makes Diesel feel like you’re coming home (those old Dutton vibes) and gives the most wonderful author introductions.

We’ll be at Pages bookstore in Manhattan Beach next Thursday at 7:00. (A party! Please come!) Then at Vroman’s in Pasadena on August 5th.

And tomorrow night, June 20th at 6:30, I’ll be participating in Victoria Zackheim’s “Women’s Voices” at the Pacific Palisades Library.

There are still a few spaces left in the three hour workshop I’m teaching in Santa Monica  through UCLA Arts and Healing on Saturday, June 22nd, 9:30 – 12:30  Come join us. For more information: http://www.uclartsandhealing.net/programs

Forgive all the self-promotion. It comes with the territory when you’re a writer. I love my students and teaching, and I love to read for an audience – but all this marketing is, well, the Marketing Whore at work.
